Adventures on Oahu...

Well the last 2 weeks were very adventurous for us. Robb's parents came to visit and we got to explore Oahu and the Big Island. Robb had to work and couldn't go see the volcanoes with us. It rained the entire time we were there but we did get to drive around the rim. The military lodge we stayed at it 4000 ft and actually sits in the volcano. Robb and I are going to take a trip back to hike the trails and actually get to explore it more. The Big Island has some of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. There are some pics in my slideshow. We did find out that there are 3 waterfalls here and plan on going to see those soon. The one we went to see is close to the house but VERY hard to get to. Robb and his Dad hiked the trail and it took a few hours to go 3/4 of a mile. Not sure but I think if we do go back we will be more prepared. On the last night of their trip we went to a Luau. Before we got there I said if they try to pull me on stage I will not go. I said this because last time I went to one they went into the crowd to get people on stage to learn the hula. Well we sat up front so I was sure they would get one of us. Low and behold the guy came down and pulled me up. I was very reluctant at first but he said we were just dancing at the tables for now. So I got up and danced with him. It was over too quick to get a picture but it was fun. Now that I know which one is good I will make sure that is the one to go to when anyone else visits. We also went to the Arizona Memorial for Pearl Harbor. Taking the boat ride out into the water to see the ship and the wall of names was very moving. I highly recommend if you come to the island you go see it for yourself. This actually is one of the only tours that is free. All in all it was a nice time and I am glad to have gotten to see more of the island. Hope to get more visitors! ;)
